A Tribute to Rev Dr Max Donald
It was with great sadness that we heard about the death of our former Pastor, Max Donald, on 25 March 2010.
Max was Pastor of our church from 1998 to 2008 and was an extraordinarily gifted Bible Teacher and Preacher. Max had a real heart for the Gospel and under his leadership the church saw continued growth and many people came to faith and were baptized during the years of his ministry.
Beyond his pastoral duties, Max was a wonderful musician and singer and was frequently described as having the voice of an angel. For many in the church at that time, who themselves suffered bereavement and grief, Max was a faithful visitor and a calming source of encouragement.
In 2008 Max left and formed a new church. However, we will always remember the enormous contribution that Max made to our fellowship and the debt of gratitude that we all owe to him for the years of hard work he invested in Holm Evangelical Church, now at Culduthel Christian Centre.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time and also with the friends at Grace Community Church where his faithful work for God has continued until his untimely death. His death has come as a great shock to us all.
A thanksgiving service for Max Donald was held on Friday 9th April at 12.30pm at Nessbank Church, Inverness.
