Culduthel Christian Centre has been involved in Blythswood Care's Annual Shoe Box Appeal for a number of years now. Customs' regulations require that each box is checked by Blythswood Care before shipment.
Each year the main auditorium of Culduthel Christian Centre is turned into a Shoe Box Sorting Station where over 3,000 filled boxes are checked and packed into cartons to go to our sister church in Sliven, Bulgaria, for distribution to people in need.
We have completed our shoe box sorting event for 2009. We successfully sorted 3,535 boxes at CCC. These were added to a few thousand more, sorted elsewhere, and were shipped out to Sliven, Bulgaria, on the 25 November ready for distriubtion to those in need throughout December.
If you would like to fill and donate a shoebox in 2010 please pick up a leaflet from the rack in Culduthel Christian Centre's foyer or print one off from the Blythswood Care website when they come available after the summer 2010. This contains all the instructions you need to ensure you make the 'perfect' shoebox.
Donations of fillers for boxes are also welcome at Blythswood Care.
