'Eleos'
Thursday 24 June 2010 @ 7pm
Culduthel Christian Centre, Inverness
Tickets: £5 - available from CCC Coffee Shop, CLC & Living Oasis bookshops or via email.
Eleos is an ensemble consisting of flute, violin, viola and ‘cello with compere and technicians, who work together to present music that appeals to an audience who would enjoy Classic FM, and to anyone who loves great music!
Through an evening of classical entertainment, audiences can absorb something of the Christian perspective whilst in a relaxed atmosphere. The quartet play popular pieces such as Bach’s Brandenburg 3, Thais Meditation, and the theme from Schindlers List, as well as their own arrangements to suit a themed programme. This is combined with a multimedia presentation of images on a screen.
Crafted to take the audience on a powerful journey to think about God’s greatest love of all, this promises to be a non-threatening, highly entertaining, relaxing and thought provoking evening.
International speaker, Fane Conant, will then finish off the evening with an epilogue.
Fane is a Regional Director for Christian Vision for Men, and Partner Evangelist with the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association.
Following a career in newspapers, culminating in ten years with the London Sunday Times, Fane's renewed desire was to make Jesus, and his glorious gospel, known to those who have not had an opportunity to hear the good news in a meaningful way. His life had been dominated by gambling but now he wanted to help people see that we may all have to take risks in life but that it is foolish to take a risk with eternal life.
